Pacific time. The shop is a working space, not a showroom, so visits are by appointment only, Tuesday through Friday. Give us two days notice and we will put the grinder down and show you what is on the bench.

When you will hear back

Email sent Monday through Thursday is usually answered the same afternoon, and always within one business day. Anything that arrives after noon on Friday gets read Monday morning; we are genuinely closed on weekends.

Warranty and repair questions go to the front of the line. If a lamp of ours is not working, that is the first thing we deal with in the morning.

Finding us

On the highway into Yosemite

The shop sits on Highway 140 at the edge of Mariposa, about a mile past the county courthouse heading toward the Merced River canyon. It is a metal building set back from the road with a gravel pull-off and no sign worth speaking of. If you pass the feed store you have gone too far.

Cell service is thin between here and El Portal, so if you are driving up and running late, text before you leave town rather than from the canyon.
