The build
About The Wayfarer
The Wayfarer is the piece people reach for first. Built from black iron pipe, threaded fittings and cast floor flanges, it stands in a long stride with one arm thrown forward and the bulb riding high on its shoulder — a small traveler who happens to be carrying your light.
Every joint is threaded by hand, dry-fit, adjusted, then set. The arms and forward leg hold a friction fit tight enough to keep a pose but loose enough to change your mind, so the figure can lean, reach, or square up depending on where it lands. No two are torqued exactly alike, which is the point.
Wired with UL-listed components and a twisted cloth cord in charcoal, with an inline rotary switch you can find in the dark. Ships with a 40W amber ST64 Edison bulb already seated.

How it leaves Mariposa
There are two of us. One builds, one packs, and the same pair answers the email when something goes sideways.

- Double-boxed with die-cut foam under the flange base and kraft paper wrapped around the pipe. The Edison bulb travels in its own sleeve rather than in the socket, so a hard drop cannot shatter it against the pipe.
- Shipped
- UPS Ground out of 4821 Highway 140, free anywhere in the continental US. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted at cost at checkout, and we ship to Canada on request. Tracking goes out the morning the box leaves the bench.
- If it arrives wrong
- Photograph the box and email hello@craftsmancreations.com. We rebuild or refund, and we cover return freight. Wiring and joints are covered for as long as you own the lamp; bulbs are consumable and we send spares at cost.
